One of my favorite ways to ground myself in the moon phases is to take a ritual bath.
In this post I'm going to share with you my favorite first quarter moon bath ritual, but first, a little about the energy of the first quarter moon.
The energy during this phase is one of growth and self healing. I use this phase to heal on both spiritual and emotional levels This is also an abundant energy, so what you focus on grows, and what better to focus on than self love!
It's also a time for action, manifestation, and stepping toward your goals. While we are gaining powerful, growing moon energy, it also takes physical and mental energy to be in action and go after what we want. And there is seriously no better feeling than soaking in a nice hot bath at the end of the day to renew yourself, am I right!
What you'll need
Dried or fresh rose petals (you can also use a high quality essential oil - just 2-3 drops directly in the tub)
2 tblsp of cinnamon powder (you can also grind up cinnamon sticks or use essential oil here too)
A white candle
How to prepare
Place a hot pot with 4 cups of water on the stove on high heat and add the rose petals and cinnamon
Turn it off when it starts to boil and let sit for at least 15 minutes
Take a quick shower to cleanse your body so you're not bathing in "dirty" water
Fill the tub with warm water
Light the candle and add the herbal mixture to the bath water
Get in and soak
Self love and acceptance ritual
Pour the water all over your face and body and think about how you talk to and treat yourself (be honest, it's not always pretty, trust me I know..but hang in, we are going to let it all go in a minute)
Apologize to yourself and focus on what your emotions are trying to tell you. Analyze your fears, they will guide you to what you need.
Ask that all negative thoughts go away and be transmuted into light to be used for the highest good of all.
Say the following:
"I love myself deeply and fully. From now on I accept myself and cancel all negative thoughts and forgive my past mistakes"
Relax and enjoy your soak.
When you are ready, get out and do something that brings you joy and makes you feel good.
