A positive mindset is something I have been working a lot on lately. Not because I am not a positive person, but because I want to be able to change the way I approach negativity.
Most of us probably don’t realize that the negative experiences we have had in our lives often influence our decisions. Our brains learn from difficult or painful experiences, so it naturally wants to do whatever it can to protect us from a recurrence of that feeling.
Our lives are a reflection of our attitude. The energy you, or anyone else, brings with them is contagious. You get what you give. I know this is so true for me. If there is friction in my house, the kids are stressing me out, or my fiancee is in a bad mood, it’s really difficult for me to be positive.
Now I am not saying that you should run around with daisy chains in your hair singing Kumbaya all the time. Everyone has emotions. But sometimes if we look at things a little differently we will see...
Hi! My name is Jen Ginty. I’m the owner of Defining the Style. I am a certified image consultant and personal stylist with years of experience helping women and men define their own style with wardrobe organization and personal shopping. As a former women’s boutique owner, I have consulted with everything from casual wear such as jeans and tops, to styling for the corporate world.
I brought a few different outfits for the photo shoot – Jenessa explained how the different clothing and accessories would look in the photos which helped me to figure out exactly what to wear.
I received headshots and lifestyle branding images for my business from Jenessa– they are fantastic and I get many compliments on social media and LinkedIn. I will use them for my website as well as Instagram and Facebook.
I loved that I could talk with Jenessa beforehand for questions about colors and patterns since she knows how they will display in your photos.
Fall in New England is magical. The air is cool, the trees are changing colors and it's one of the best times to get a branding photo shoot done outside.
Stephanie is an Instagram Growth Expert and also has a health and wellness business partnered with Amare. Her vision was to create images she could use for both businesses on social media, her website, and anywhere else she would need to be visible. And her goal was look and feel empowered, confident, healthy, sassy, fun, and simple.
We started in downtown Haverhill, MA at Battle Grounds Coffee Company to get some shots of Stephanie working on her laptop so she can help her audience see that location freedom is possible!
Haverhill is her hometown so she definitely wanted some great urban shots around main street!
Next on her location wish list was Winnekenni Castle and the beautiful fields, pond, and and trails.

The word "branding" is becoming ever popular...as it should. But what the heck does it mean?
Believe it or not I get this question A LOT!
Some believe it is just the colors and fonts you use
Some think it’s only how nice your website looks
Some say oh it’s my logo

EVERYTHING YOUR CUSTOMER/CLIENT TOUCHES IN YOUR BUSINESS IS YOUR BRAND
Brand image is more than your logo and the colors you use, it is your business identity. It is the perception consumers have at every transaction, view, or interaction with your business. Most entrepreneurs and small business owners forget about brand image while in the building stages. But this is really the most important time to pay attention. If you are beyond the building stages and still haven't thought about it then listen up!
Brand image is usually thought of as an extra expense for fluff that is not necessary. And that it will not add any real value at this point in...
